Director of Arthouse since April 2008, Jorgen brings 17 years’ experience in residential, apartment, commercial and sporting/community projects to the practice. A graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, Jorgen is interested in creating functional, surprising, beautiful spaces that respond contextually to site and user specific parameters.

Jorgen enjoys working collaboratively with a project team, following design ideas through a project ensuring continuity and coordination from overall concepts to fine detail. Integrating structural requirements, services, joinery, lighting and landscape requirements seamlessly into projects creates a comprehensive design solutions for clients.

Jorgen is also a Director of SRA Architects, specialising in Education and large scale projects. He is also involved in development projects, with an interest in apartment and medium density/mixed use projects. He was part of the development syndicate that recently delivered the award winning Betts Apartment project.

Jorgen’s projects have been published nationally and received New Zealand Institute of Architecture and Commercial Project Awards. Jorgen has been a trustee of the Nelson Tasman Housing Trust, Secretary for the Nelson/Marlborough Institute of Architects and has been a guest critic at both Wellington and Auckland Architecture Schools
